Anyone know how to make my DVD+R work in a Sony DVD player?

I used Windows movie maker to make a photo montage set to music for an anniversary gift. I saved it as a DV-AVI (NTSC) format. I want to burn it to a DVD and play it in a Sony DVD player. I used CDBurner XP Pro 3 to burn it to a Memorex DVD+R disc. When I pop it in, the dvd player says no disc. What am i doing wrong?

I know it can be frustrating and I probably wont be much help. But you may just need to practice with it. It would pretty hard to explain here… But there may be some good info in the Help section.
I remember ruining many Disks before getting the hang of it. Now Burning is not the same as clicking and draging to a Disk. You actually need to get the files into your burner program in such a way as to find a button that says burn…

I use a program called Nero and find it to be quite easy and I learned how to use with little effort. Well maybe wasted a disk or too.. Hehe. Just keep trying.

you are doing nothing wrong. it’s just that your Sony dvd player will not read data from a DVD+R/-R, it has some built-in protection in them.
try it on any other DVD palyer and you’ll see it work.
