    I have the latest …
I have the latest Sony HDD Camcorder..its video quality sucks…I mean it…..Canon is the best. I always trust Canon.
But it seems that Canon won’t make HDD Camcorder like JVC, Sony and Panasonic..

    No it didn’t.
The Canon was much more refreshing and bright.

    sony hdr cx 12 …
sony hdr cx 12 great number one…… but canon vixia hf 100 ( good only )

    I agree Magoo. How …
I agree Magoo. How can two camcorders be compared like for like after the video has been converted on a computer and then uploaded to YouTube to be compressed further. The only way to compare them would be to have them both in your hand and look at the raw uncompressed files.

    Maybe HDR-CX12 …
Maybe HDR-CX12 looks bad because the girl on the bottom left disappeared…lol

  12. AMGBenz95 says:

    color correction …
color correction can make the sony look just like the canon

    I have since found …
I have since found out that my graphics card was the problem. I have a Pentium 4 Dual 3.2 GHZ with 4 meg of ram . I didn’t think I needed a decent card at the time. My problem at this point is those people looking at my videos on YouTube don’t have enough computer to watch. So I’m back to using SD videos.

  14. a1mint says:

    Your computer might …
Your computer might not be fast enough. Many people end up converting it to mpeg4 or mpeg2 even. With enough bit rate you can’t tell the difference (almost).

  15. TangyPenis says:

    The colours are …
The colours are warmer and much more realistic I think at the beach. However I think the green grass may be too saturated. The Canon colours look more true to life to me on the bridge too.

  16. TangyPenis says:

    The Canon can …
The Canon can record AVCHD to SD or internal memory at a rate of 24mbps (the same bitrate as HDV)

    Def HF100 for me! …
Def HF100 for me! Colors are better and motion test was less choppy with it. I got a Sony 3.5″ DVD camcorder right now and it makes way to much noise while recording. The only time you hear noise though, is during playback. Less moving parts is good.

    This video shows…..nothing i am afraid…

  19. Edckars says:

I thing none of us …
I thing none of us can judge about the two camcorders from just looking at this video, because we may not forget that this is youtube quality!

  20. ariez2000 says:

    I think canon Vixia …
I think canon Vixia HF100 is better than sony’s HDR-Cx12. The colors are so different from each other. Canon has got all the vivid color while the other does not. Horray to canon Vixia HF100.

  21. FlorinU says:

    The difference in …
The difference in quality is very small and it’s just a matter of taste I think. I like the Sony because it can also record in SD if needed and SD quality is much better than any previous SD models. In exchange, I don’t like the glossy black finish, I hope this trend won’t last too long! :)

  22. a1mint says:

    I don’t think so, …
I don’t think so, because the tape motor makes a buzzing wizzing noise. So sound is better on the HF100. It’s also smaller, and no moving parts except for lens. HF100 seems like the winner to me.

  23. a1mint says:

    How so?
    How so?

  24. imanutnur7 says:

    I have the Vixia …
I have the Vixia HF100 and love it but I noticed when I’m editing or using any of the players its pretty choppy. Its great when sent to YouTube. Whats with the choppy playback?

    there’s no windcut …
there’s no windcut in the sony camcorder
