Can a Japanese version of the Sony PS2 suck 220V juice or would it blow?

I’m in Europe. I want to run some Japanese game… I don’t think a European version of the PS2 can run the Japanese game.
In my country we only have 220V sockets.

As you thought, it is not possible to play Japanese game with European version of the PS2 because of the region code.
Japanese version of the PS2 works with 100V. 220V cannot be fed.

Im pretty sure EU games only run on EU PS2s and JP games only run on JP PS2s. Its just a game, so i expect it would work if you had a modified PS2.
