My computer has a 1394 port and it says that any 1394a device like a digital camcorder can be connected. Do I still need a firewire card? What is 1394 ‘a’ and ‘b’? Should I buy a 4 wire or 6 wire "ilink" cable?
Yeah, maybe a firewire card would keep it secure enough, i am not sure about the link cables, so maybe you should contact the customer service…
