Can I reset my Sony VAIO laptop to factory settings?

I recently bought a Sony VAIO laptop but have decided to sell it on. I have only ever switched it on twice but did set my password which comes on screen whenever it is turned on. Can this be reset to the original setting so this doesnt happen? Cheers.

You should have system recovery disks that came with the VAIO. These are what you should use, one to put the VAIO back to original factory settings and the other to re-install the applications that came with your VAIO.
