Can I use a 4pin firewire cable in a 4pin DV iLink Sony camera?

I have an iLink compatible Sony Digital camera but for some reason that is too stupid to detail, I have to use a Firewire cord if possible to transfer the video's to my laptop. Is this possible? Can I put the Firewire into the iLink slot on the camera?

Hope this helps:
