Can you use an usb flash drive as a memory card for a sony ps2?

I was just wondering because of the usb outlets on the front of the ps2 if it is possible.
so there is no way to format it either?

Nope. The formatting is different. The USB ports on the front of the PS2 are for keyboards, mice and other peripherals. (I believe the itoy, also, had a usb).

Edit: Not really. Even if there was an easy way to format it, the PS2 isn't set up to save to those ports to that media.
