I have a Sony Vaio with the Nvidia 310m card. There has only been one update on sony’s site for the card since it came out. Which is six months ago. I tried to download the driver from nvidia. But I get a message that says that it is a notebook specific driver. Is there any way I can get around this? Because I want to update the driver for some games I’m playing.

I have a sony vaio FW480J laptop and there is an unlabeled slot on the left side of the laptop that seems to be an input for a larger memory card but i’m not sure. I wanted to know what it is and what it supports. Thanks.

It’s an ExpressCard slot. From the picture I saw it looks to be the slimmer ExpressCard/34 slot. There is also a wider /54. It’s basically an expansion slot that can be used for the following:
