I just bought a Sony VAIO VGN-NW240F and I can’t get my current Cisco Linksys router to work. I think it might not be compatible with the Windows 7 installed in my laptop.
For me the best wireless router is NETGEAR..it works really good..my laptop is sony vaio VGN-CS13G..my family also have their own laptops and even though we use it at the same time, the internet works fast..

Rather clumsily, I spilled coffee on my Sony Vaio VGN-FW21M laptop. The only casualty is a stain on the inside of the monitor in the bottom left corner. I can still see through it, though it’s rather annoying. Any clever solutions out there?
hi, do you mean there is a stain inside the actual glass lcd screen? are you sure its not on the outside of the screen? try n clean it with something. i doubt you can open the lcd screen though you can easily open the plastic covering around the outside of it by undoing the screws under these little plastic circle bumps…
My Sony vaio turns on but comes up a black screen. How do I wipe it without using a wipeout disc?
2010
I own a Sony Vaio I don’t exactly know what year but I think it has a virus due to alot of downloading. All I know is that when I turn it on, it comes up a black screen without displaying the vaio or any screens. My question is what are my options? And if my only option is to wipe it, how do I do that without using back-up discs or a wipe-out discs?
Hello,
If you are getting nothing at all, no screen, nothing, I would not immediately assume it was the operating system. It almost sounds like it could be a display problem. Was it dropped recently? Might try taking the easy accessible items out of the laptop (ram, hard drive if possible) and try to re-set them prior to this. I guess one way would be to try to boot it with a bootable disk, ie: xp. Can you get to your bios?
