Does the Sony Ericsson K500i phone work with other SIM cards?

In other words is it unlocked?

I’m thinking of getting the phone Sony Ericsson K500i but if I’m going to get it from the Carphone Warehouse I would have to buy it on the Virgin Network because it’s cheaper on that network currently (at £49.95) but I’m not sure if I can put my T-Mobile SIM in it and it would still work on T-Mobile.

Would it work? And if it doesn’t how should unlock it so that it works on T-mobile instead of Virgin?

Hi the t-mobile sim should work in the virgin phone as they run of the same network but the only thing you might have to do is change the settings in the phone for mms & wap …. hope this helps
