Does the Sony PS2 Generic controller work as well as name brand controller?

Thanks for opinions.

Yeah. All the controllers are made to meet the same standards. The official PS2 controllers may feel more comfortable but the cheaper, generic controllers work just as well. I have a wireless controller that has worked for years.

no they do not work as well.
i have bought several different ps2 generic controllers and while they function correctly, the quick sticks always seem to be different than the name brand controller.

i sucked it up and just bought the name brand.

Generic controllers tend to break easier, and wear out faster (in my experience). Some of them look interesting, but they never really work as well and I have never had one last as long as Sony’s dualshock 2′s.

I’d just buy the Sony brand.
