What’s the point of reviewing a WLAN internet enabled device in a place which has no WLAN internet ?!
On a stationary train at Kings Cross underground station may be a cool place to make a video, but it’s epic fail when it comes to demonstrating a WLAN enabled device.

Looks good, I’ve had my Cowon S9 for months now and the AMOLED screen looks too awesome for words, was watching Beowolf on it earlier and it made the viewing experience 10x better than regular TFT.

This looks ace. I’ve have an Itouch for about 18 months, but when it’s time to upgrade I’m definitely getting a Sony. I’ve had a Walkman in all forms (even Minidisc) and yea, sound quality is out of this world. Also, Itunes is seriously f*****g me off more and more these days.

Well I am getting a SONY one. I bought two iPods, both lasted just 18 months and died. Apple were cracp when I called them up, so thats the end of that. Crap devices, I want music, reliability and decent storage. SONY looks like they have done it. Off to the shops

Did he say the walkman sounds alright? Sony Walkman along with Samsung P3, and Creative products have some of the best sounds. The itouch is not meant a overall sound product.

walkman always had better sound quality in terms of lows, mids and highs. wider frequency ranges, if you’ve read the specs of the devices thmslf and the headphones supplied or even used these devices in the past, you would be aware of this fact.. Apple is no comparison… never was. portible devices are in sony’s blood, where as apple came along just a few years ago. i would use apple for better interface, but would use walkman for better sound quality. don’t agree?do some research then:P

On what hifi sound and vision review site, they said the quality of sound on the iPod classic is amazing as well as the iPod touch. SO people who say that the SQ on the ipod is rubbish is a complete idiot!

bose is 90% marketing, Stay away, buy Sennheiser, or something like shure.. and buy in ears, theyre easier to drive, look at the Senheiser IE – 8 and buy an imodded ipod.

ehm. ur quite ignorant. The ipod touch has just the same sound quality as the iPod classic, and it doesnt use mp3 files, + the device has a much better amplifier, and if u want to use those enormous headphones iwht like 300 ohms, you have to get a protable external amp for any device. What headphones do you have that deseres such good quality? The X series cant even drive them..

unfortunately i have to agree with BornToRun here. There is actually so much more the touch can do compared to this. The web browser on this sucks, no multitouch, no accelerometer… wtf is going on with sony?!
Good web browsing is one feature that i treasure the most in portable media players, and the sony just doesnt live up to that.
So now im looking to the Zune HD, if that doesnt cut it then im giving in and getting an ipod

o my fellow walkmanians, i need your help in battle on choosing…fuck that i don’t know how to do this. i want to buy this x-series and a bose headphone. i had the sony walkman nwz-s736 and i know how good the earphones are. all i want is sameor better sound quality headphone than that. should i get the on-ear or the qc3. Or any good headphone.

ipods do have very …
ipods do have very good sound quality, but theyr not worth buying for anyone who actually wants to take their music back of easily. or share music or customise the player in any way
