   I doubt it since Sony just released a even slimmer PS2 for the Indian market a couple of months ago. And its a cheap and easy way for other companies to make money but porting games to it.

   PS2 probably has about a another year to go. New release games are going to less and less as it gets closer and closer to the end. I think EA will release it Sports games for 2010 for ps2 like NBA live 10.

   It might be true. Game developers nowadays are too lazy to make PS2 games. You can know that by looking at recent PS2 games quality. You can check the release date for final PS2 titles at IGN.com.

   They will stop making PS2 games next year but, if you haven’t played one before I would suggest getting one to play all the classic games.
   Hitman
   Metal Gear
   Grand Theft Auto
   Rachet and Clank
   Jak and Daxter, the list goes on and on.

   think of it this way:after few years from making ps2 , sony stopped making ps1 games and started to make ps2 games
   so the same thing will happen to ps2 and ps2 have a short time to live :P
