I'm planning to buy new PS3 80GB model. But it needs to do software emulation to play PS2 games. How can i do software emulaton. what do i need to do software emulation. Is this make my ps3 compatible with ps2 games??
do i need to buy ps2 cds or can i load games in memory card and play the ps2 games?
The orginal 80gb models of the PS3 (the ones first released in Europe, and the 2nd gen of the ones released in NA) had automatic software emulation for PS2 games.
The newer 80gb models (which are essentially 40gb models with a bigger hard disk) have NO PS2 compability whatesoever, you CAN'T play PS2 titles on these, sorry. Keep your PS2.

There is no such thing. If that is possible… how sweet is that? Sony will not allow it as that is a form of game piracy.

I hear PS2 ISO, but you have to have a OS on your system, and the software emulation is put in via Soney with Hardware, you can't change it. Face it, you can't play PS2 games on the new PS3 and you won't. If you find a way, Sony automatically blocks you out your PS3, because you used a illegal game
