I have a Sony DVP-NC85H DVD/CD player and since I’m from Europe, but live in US now, how can I make the player play my old dvds or even the new ones I wanna get with my national language? I saw this dvd program that would unregion my player, is it true or just a hoax? Thanks a lot!
Just did a quick Google search for multi region hacks for this player and it seems there isn't one for this model.

So playing US discs on it seems not to be an option as it's probably locked to whatever region it's originally sold in.
As for any software that claims to unlock the player, I don't know, but if it's something you pay for I'd be sceptical. Usually multi region hacks are simply a certain code input via the remote by pressing certain buttons in order. Not heard of any software solution before.
