How can i get the most out of my laptop i have intel pentium dual core procesort and it is a sony vaio ?

I have a sony vaio VGN-NR110E and i want to get the most performance out of my processor. I like to listen to music and the most applications i use are Itunes, AIM, Yahoo Messanger, and the internet thats bout it

disable startup applications you dont need

go to start
run
type msconfig
click the startup tabs at the top
uncheck startup items you dont need
click apply then ok
restart

(try checking the internet for the programs you dont need at startup)

now download install ccleaner, download.com has one
use the cleaner to remove temporary files and temporary internet files.

i suggest you dont change anything on the checkbarlist of ccleaner, the default is enough.
