How come I can view but cannot broadcast with my Sony VAIO in built webcam to my friends on yahoo msn?

I have just purchased a Sony Vaio VGN CR13G/P and I can view my webcam but cannot broadcast it so that my friends/contacts can view. It keeps trying to connect but times out. It also keeps disabling the inbuilt camera and I have to restart my laptop to reactivate it. How can I fix this? Thank you to anyone who can help.

Try this.

Go to "tools"…"Manage Add ons" and make sure everything is enabled. Also check your firewall setting to ensure the camera software has access.
