How do I connect a sony PS2 to the internet through mediacom?

I have a cable modem and a 5port ethernet switch and am still having Probs. I get a -611 no connection error through the setup disc v2 on the ps2.

In that case get a network adapter for PS2, then set up a new conection on ur computer, and make sure it detects ur ps2, then u should b good to go! Ur welcome;P
