How do i format my C: Drive and windows vista on a sony vaio?

I want to format the c drive and windows vista off of my sony vaio laptop can anyone tell me how?Thanx in advance!?!!?!?!!

If you are replacing it with another version of Windows, then put the Windows CD in before you boot the PC and let it boot from the CD – it should start the install process. Part of the install process will be to reformat the hard drive to prepare it for Windows.

I’m not sure about other OS’s, but I am reasonably sure they will have similar utilities to prep the hard drive for the OS.
