    There are numerous ways..
    1. Use cookie cutter to shrinken the events, put it in the right place in the cookie cutter location map thingy, then use pan and crop to make sure its in the center!
    2. Just use pan and crop but this is bad because sometimes u cant focus it onto the center

    best answer?? plz

step 1: create two video track (if you don’t know how check sony help “create video track”)
step 2: add your videos in different video tracks.
step 3: there is a tiny white icon on each event called video pan\crop. click on it. if you can’t see it right click on the event and choose it from the pop upped list. now change the width and height of the selected event
step 4: change width to half (you can do it manually but use numbers to make it exactly half) do it to other video track too.
step 5: know you should not see both of your videos because they are on each other. so change the X from track motion Example : click on video track motion and change X from 0 to -170 now set the other video track motion X from 0 to +170 and what you will see is both of you videos near each other
i don’t know what video size you are using to tell you the exact numbers so find it by your self.
remember you can use keyframes to do this changes just on a part of your video.

if you see your video clips are getting crushed in width you need to use a mask. when you are in pan\crop window check mask box (downer part of window). check it and create a mask on half of your screen to split unwanted parts.

I want to tell you some thing extra which I’m sure you’ll need it soon. if you want to put two video on each other without changing size put your videos on different video tracks. you should just see on of them. now click on the tiny green icon called Compositing mode and change it from source alpha to add. make sure to do it on the video track witch you can see it. now your videos would be add to each other set each video opacity by left clicking on the top of each video and puling it down.
I wish i could help you
