i collect movies based on marvel comics and they all got stolen so im just going to burn them all on dvds but i cant figure out how to burn them from the cox digital cable box. its not a dvr. im trying to burn with a sony dvd vcr combo. and i was also wondering if you could burn movies on demand

Yes, this can be done.

Connect the Cable box via Coax or A/V cables directly to the DVD Recorder.

Chose A/V if it is available on the Cox box. lol, Cox box . . . . . Select A/V input on the DVD Recorder.

Connect the DVD Recorder via A/V cables to the TV.

Cable –> DVD Recorder –> TV

Now, anytime anything comes on; Movies, Sports, Big Bang Theory, etc., you can record the show for later viewing. You can even use the timer to record when not home. Remember to leave the cable box on and tuned to the correct channel and set the DVD recorder.

I do it all the time to record ANYTHING coming through the cable box.
