How do you Re-record over or re-use a Sony DVD-RW disc ?

I have recorded onto a Sony DVD-RW disc and now I want to record over my shows and reuse the disc. How and what do I do ?

In most players, you can’t "re-write" over a used disc. You have to "blank" the disc first. Depending on you player, you should be able to access your menu and select that utility easily. After the disc has been "blanked", then you can use it again. I have heard that you could "over write" in some machines, but I have not seen it yet.

put disk into recorder – go to disk menu – delete each recorded file on the disk – this will now be an empty disk for re-use.
