How do you upload pictures from a sony ericsson phone onto the computer?

i want to upload pictures from my sony ericsson S500i fone onto the pc but i am not sure how. can any1 help?

plug the usb cable into the phone and pc.
your get a think sayin about new device found.
click install or next .
about 4 of 5 will pop up.
when its done, on the phone a menu will come up
pick file trnasfer.
then when a new device box pops up go to open files, then go to where the photos are stored, i think its dcm or something like that

then choose the photo you want and copy it to a file on the pc.
then just unplug the phone when your done.

if the phone shutsdown and reboots this is common, and nothing to worry about

    Mines a different model but with it i got a CD and a USB lead. I had to upload the software from the CD then attach the phone to the PC and the choices came up whether i wanted to upload music, images etc.
