How long will the Sony PlayStation Portable be around?

I am thinking of buying a PSP (against the DS!) – which I believe there is a Lite version and a new 3000 version released. When will they stop making games for this handheld console as I don’t want to invest cash in games if it’s in the very near future with little lifespan left.

I’m sure it still has a while yet left. But you’ll be able to get games for a long time yet and probably the console second hand if anything goes wrong and you still want to use it.

I can still get things for a 20+ year old gaming PC I have so I wouldn’t worry about the PSPs time being up

    They will keep releasing new handhelds, like PSP 3k and DSi, but they will all be compatible with the same games.
