How much longer will Sony be producing ps2 merch. and games?

Sony says that they like their systems to last about 10 years (Ps2 made in 2000) and the ps3 is not making good business. When will they stop making ps2 stuff? I only have about 3 years left to be a kid and have time for video games, so if the ps2 will last that long then I will get it. What do you think?

Dont worry, the PS2 is the most widely owned gaming console, developers will still support it for quite a while. But I dont think it will last more than say a few years. Sony would have loved to have gotten rid of it sooner, but people just arent anxious to jump on the PS3.
