How to connect the Vizio L32HDTV and Sony PS3?

I've tried alot of options/suggestions.
No Luck! Please Help!

I use a certified Sony HDMI cable for the PS3 (HDMI 1.3).

I've tried hooking up both the AV cable and HDMI cable at the same and switching the output within the PS3 to HDMI with just a blue screen.

use only the hdmi and make sure both the tv and ps3 are both set to hdmi. leave it to sony to make 2 things that are incompatible
