How to get BLACK AND WHITE effect on Sony Digital Camera?

the brand of my digital camera is Sony its a W100 series#

You put the camera in program mode on the dial, press the menu button and then scroll down to "Colour Mode" then select "B&W".

My wife keeps a W110 in her purse and I believe that they are similar.

    You can use your photo editing software. Take the photo in color, then either remove the red channel, or bring down the saturation to zero.
