How To Transfer Music To My Sony Ericsson W580i?

I got a sony ericsson w580i today, and it comes with a USB cable. i was wondering:
1) do you need a memory stick to be able to transfer the music…? and also, i have a mac….
2) will it only transfer from PC? or does it work on mac as well?

thanks everyone!

it took me forever to figure it out. a lot of people have trouble figuring it out too! the user manual doesn’t really help.

go here and download the PC Suite. the disk2phone didn’t work for me or a lot of other people:

http://www.sonyericsson.com/cws/support/products/softwaredownloads/w580i?cc=us&lc=en

then, when that’s done..

in the manual, it says when you connect your phone to the comp, to select "file transfer". DON’T do that. it doesn’t work for me. select "phone mode" instead.

open the PC suite program, then open the file manager. go to phone memory, music, and then just drag music from your comp. into that folder.

1. you don’t need a memory card, but without it, it’ll only hold like 2 songs.
2. i wish i could help, but i don’t know :( and oops, i’m not sure if the PC suite would work for you.. i hope it does!

if it doesn’t work out, if you have a friend that can do it, have them transfer it to you by bluetooth or something lol.

hope everything works out!

If you have a memory card reader, put the memory stick micro card in the adapater given and put it in your card reader, it will show as a removable drive in your mac, just copy and paste the songs you want into that drive
