I would purchase the CPU from Newegg and pay a reputable service to install and troubleshoot.
Thinking of a T7700, T8300 or T9300
Intel PM965 Chipset, 800MHz FSB
Currently have T7250
Sorry
1st: It is almost NEXT TO IMPOSSIBLE to change or upgrade the CPU on a Notebook Motherboard (MB) bec you would have to carefully analyze your MB specs to know exactly whichprocessors are compatible…<= To make a mistake would be rather costly so RISK is high for layman.
2nd: It is NOT a DO-IT-YOURSELF TASK to tinker below MOTHERBOARD and the RISKS you take when going somewhere you shouldn’t be is once you start disassembly if you cannot get it back together, and say it now doesn’t boot up <= now you’re talking Big Buck$ and slow speed is much better than DEAD NONWORKING LAPTOP, hopefully you agree?
Hope the Above Info Helps!
