i have a sony cyber shot dsc-s700 camera and just starting today my computer wont recognize it. i tried it on my sisters computer and it did the same thing. i want to load pictures on my computer but it wont work. please help!
What version of Windows do you have? Not even Win XP and Win Vista automatically install any type of hardware.
There may be a compatibility issue. If it’s prior to Win2000 you may not be able to install your camera. It all depends on the Windows version.
And most likely you will need to search online and then download the correct driver in order to install if you don’t have a (cd) with the driver on it.

Don’t bother with cables or special software!
The easiest and best method to download photos and video from your camera to your computer is via a little USB card reader (which are quite cheap these days).
Card readers also work for moving photos from the computer onto a card.
Plug the reader into a USB port and insert the memory card.
It will show up as a drive, and you can simply drag and drop the photos across to the folder of your choice.
