My driver or the cd that came with my Sony Camcorder cannot be downloaded into my computer?

I just have this Sony Sr-300 and i tried to download Picture Motion Browser, in order for my camcorder to be recognized by the computer.However, it says the connection is not found. But i’ve connected everything and followed the instructions! What seems to be the problem? my coimputer? its hp dv1000 though! I have enought memory and everything! Why can’t Picture motion browser be downloaded?

Plzz help. if this does not work, i am going to have to return it!

Go out to the Sony Website and download the software and drivers from there.

    Have you tried installing the USB driver first? I had this same problem before with the movie maker packaged that came with it. Apparently, I had to install the USB driver first while the camera was unplugged. Check the Sony website and enter your Camcorder model there for updates.
