The last point was a little dumb to lose points over… nit-picking ‘picture’ mode shots? C’mon. I think those were just sympathy points for Sony.
And personally I would have docked Sony 2 points for the stupid proprietary Pro Duo format. Those stupid things cost 2.5x the amount of SDHC! Not an insignificant cost when you’re putting in 16GB+ sized storage cards.

Get the HF100 …
Get the HF100 instead. Cheaper, same quality as HF10.
Built in memory is not convenient anyway, because you’ll need cables. Better to use the cartridges and plug them into your card reader or just straight into the laptop if it has a built in card reader, which most of them do now.
camcorderinfo(dot)com rates the Canon’s the highest.
