   I don't think the Kindle will be available to any place outside the United States in a short time… Since the Kindle 1 is launched, it is said that it will go worldwide but there doesn't seem to have any progress so far. I think the Sony Reader is not bad for the content. There is a good review here talking about this:

   Sony reader is not too bad. It is the best alternative of the Kindle. You can check with this review:
