    Think Bluray has the best video quality? Guess what, it doesn’t. A machine made about 20 years ago still has a higher picture quality than Bluray. It was LaserDisc.

    # 1920×1080 (1000 lines): D-VHS, HD DVD, Blu-ray (ver 2), HDCAM SR (professional), HDV (miniDV)

    ! I have a PS3 so I can play Blu-ray, but my TV is so old and not HD or even Stereo so Blu-Ray comes out in black & white. Good thing Fishers Electricals are having a relocation sale. Might as well nab myself a cheap TV before they go.

    Ever heard looks arent everything????, The industry does not need a new format, DVD was perfect, and hit the nail on the head for what we need for Home Entertainment, all Blu ray was made for was Money, i have a 42″ HD tv and DVD looks exactly the same as Blu Ray on it, twas a waste of money and i will crash and burn and be forgotten.

    yer an idiot, blu ray makes dvd’s look like complete . Sorry you are stuck in 2001. I can hardly watch dvd’s anymore. Blu ray is really a whole nother league and it doesn’t have to be a new movie to look way better.

    I was saying people who prefer their movie in HD have shallow movie taste, and i personaly prefer movies with a grittier look, as it feels more like what it acyually ing is, FICTION.

    No i dont “need”, but you want to have a better quality, it gives the movie a hole nex experience, because it feels more real then the normal movies. I don’t mind the normal movie quality, but i realy enjoy to watch a high quality movie more then a normal one.

    If enough people refuse to buy into Blue Ray; this will without a doubt send a strong message to Sony and force the industry to rethink it’s position on DRM. Do some good and fight the evil empire by telling Sony to take their DRM and rootkits and shove it up their es.
