You need a software …
You need a software to capture the video from your camera (Pinnacle Studio is pretty easy and intuitive). After you connect the camera, open the software and use the command “Capture”. You will have to specify a file name and a directory to store the transferred movie. Then, you can use the same software to edit, then render the final movie and write it to cd or just save it on your computer. HTH

Nothing much
I …
I think it’s all in the final rendering. Make sure you don’t compress it too much when editing. I don’t remember the exact settings but I think I used WMV format in Sony Vegas Studio. MiniDV tapes are perfect for editing and much better quality that mini DVDs.
Nothing much
