Our older Cybershot had 7 megapixels and we just loved it. We'd still be using that one if we hadn't gotten the lens all cruddy on the inside (too many trips to the beach). We bought the new DSC-W90 instead of paying for the old one to be cleaned. This new one is VERY user-friendly. We love the information displayed on the screen for each function. The video recording is much improved over our old model. However, we are disappointed in the photo image quality. Pictures are not as crisp and clear as we like. Most are fuzzy and the colors seem a little off. It's certainly aggravating to take some amazing pictures only to find out they aren't so amazing when you get home and download them. If anyone has a tip for us on using this camera to clear up the fuzziness…please post it!

Overall I like this camera. It was a good investment. Just get a 2 Gig Duo Pro Memory Stick and you can capture more than just a still at Family Gatherings, etc…However the software does not include adequate editing tools for MPEGs captured by camera. I had to use Windows Movie Maker to lighten dark shots! The display screen does not seem secure as I see dust underneath the glass! And Ahhhh yes! For 300 bucks it should at least come with a case!!!
