I found the …
I found the firmware update with the X1 made the phone faster in terms of loading applications and processing so it redeemed itself but shouldn’t have had to do that from the start. I’ve always found sony’s build quality pretty good and will be looking forward to this one. Just a bit disapointed the touch screen will only utilize the media centre but hopefully they’ll add more functionality to it afterwards.

I agree, older SE …
I agree, older SE phones weren’t buggy, but most smartphones are(from any manufacturer) , and I’m willing to cut the X1 some slack becuase its the first Winmo attempt by SE.
And clearly, what you find to be major flaws, I find acceptable so to each it’s own i guess.

Actually, older SE …
Actually, older SE phones weren’t buggy early on and were great quality. The quality of the X1 and C905 are pathetic and you’re the first to say otherwise. The design of the X1 is great and I loved the phone but the fuctionality and design was pathetic. And yes, I stuck around for the firmware update and actually used different roms too, but it shouldn’t have to come to that. The X1 is pathetic!

Oh, and build …
Oh, and build quality is great on both phones and software is always buggy/slow on early models, that applies to all phones, that’s the price you pay for being an early adopter.

*sigh* first off, i …
*sigh* first off, i didnt give you the negative feedback.
Secondly, I own an X1 and also found it slow at first, but stuck on with it long enough for the firmware update, which you clearly didnt do, and now it works like a charm.
Also I’ve played around with the C905 to know its not the best effort from SE, but its also not a bad enough stop me from buying SE ever again.

The quality is …
The quality is pathetic on both, both hardware and software. Obviously you don’t actually own either phone or you’d realise that.
I like how you gave me a negative feedback for my comment because you’re probably a fan-boy. Well, I’m a huge fan of Sony products and have stuck with Sony Ericsson for a long time. Until the X1 and C905 I swore to always get Sony Ericsson phones. I now have a G1 and it’s fantastic.
Obviously you don’t own either or you’d quit with the childish argument.
