    Which free cingular phone is better? The “Sony Ericsson W300i” or “Cingular 3125 (Refurb).”
    they both have music and camera but i heard that the ericsson has a usb port and longer talk time,
    on the other hand the 3125 is a smartphone and has a nice design but its refurbished.
    ericsson= http://www.wireless.att.com/cell-phone-service/cell-phone-details/?device=Sony+Ericsson+W300i&q_sku=sku1010003
    cingular 3125=http://www.wireless.att.com/cell-phone-service/cell-phone-details/?device=Cingular+3125+(Refurb)&q_sku=sku950166
    please reply because they might change these again.

    actually, i just ordered the refurbished 3125 today from at&t(cingular). personally, i got the smartphone because i wanted a flip phone that had music and video capabilities. the w300i is good for music, but with a smartphone you get so much more freedom and customization capabilites.

    for example, you could download all sorts of music and media players for your smartphone, and some of them are really good. i used to own a smartphone with windows mobile 2003 or whatever, and i had a really nice music player that had a strong equalizer, and a nice bass boost and all that. so basically, for stuff like video and music on the smartphone, it can be great, as long as you get the right software. but with a regular phone like the w300i, you are limited to the stuff built into the phone.

    as for the camera, the 3125′s camera isn’t the best, i heard there’s some silght greenish tinging? it’s not thaaat bad. and i’m not too sure about the w300i, but then again don’t expect to use either of these phones to replace a stand-alone digi cam.

    overall, i would always pick the smartphone, because there’s just soo much software and good stuff available for it. billions of games, videos you can compress yourself to watch, nifty useful programs and stuff. haha i even had a guitar tuner on mine before.

    i’ve read a bunch of reviews of the 3125, and the ratings weren’t very good, avg 70ish/100… but mainly because the microSD card is behind the sim card which is very inconvenient, but HEY, how often are you going to take it out and put it back in? you can just transfer stuff with the included USB sync cable, no problem. also, the phone is slightly longer than the razr, and there’s no regular earphone jack, so you have to use the included earphones. but WAIT! the included earphones are pretty decent, i read, and they have a full bass sound. and wait again!! reviews say that the lack of a regular earphone jack is bad, because there are no adapters available. but there are!! you can get them on ebay for like 10 or 12 bucks with shipping.

    anyways, ill stop rambling. smartphones are always better because they have so many functions. and too bad there’s no wi-fi, but if you wanted wi-fi you would have to lug around something much heavier and bigger, unlike the slim sexy 3125. so overall, you won’t regret it. i’m sure the refurb version is gonna be fine… it’s not like it’s going to be a used phone or something.

    okay… so don’t hold me responsible if you end up hating your smartphone haha… i’m still waiting for mine in the mail, but i’m sure ill like mine :)

    I havent heard alot of bad things about the W300i, or the 3125. But you still get a year warranty on the refurbs,and honestly I would trust it better than a brand new one, the refurbs are tested by actual people. Try looking on http://www.phonescoop.com
    It has reviews on pretty much every phone
