With the passage of time, mobile phones have donned new mantles and taken on new roles. Sophisticated handsets that can offer quite a lot more than mere “mobile connectivity” have taken the place of unassuming mobile phones of yesteryears. Some of the latest handsets, for instance, are being used for accessing information from the internet – sounds unbelievable, but it is true! Many mobile phones are also being used as digital cameras, as video recorders and as music players. Sony mobiles are appreciated for their inherent mobile music capabilities. The Sony Ericsson W850i is one of the latest handsets from this series, which is mesmerizing users with an “out-of-the-world” mobile music experience.

A walkman branded mobile phone from Sony Ericsson, this Sony mobile comes with an mp3 player, stereo handset as well as exhaustive memory to store all the music tracks and albums. Music management software is embedded in this mobile phone; this ensures that music can be transferred easily from CDs to the phone via personal computers. There is a stereo headset to personalize the listening experience for a user. The sound output is highly impressive and an owner can easily download and enjoy music tracks and albums all at the click of a button.

This Sony mobile is unique in its own way the handset can recognize music. A part of an unknown song or music track can be recorded; the specialized capabilities of this mobile phone can then be used to know the name of the song, name of the artist as well as the name of the album in which the song is featured. A 2.0 megapixel digital camera with a 4x digital zoom and a second camera used for making video calls are the two key imaging options of theSony Ericsson W850i mobile phone. An owner of this Sony mobile can see the expression on the face of loved ones and talk face-to-face with them in real time! This sleek, elegant and compact mobile phone with sophisticated music options and advanced multimedia capabilities is leaving a definite impression on phone users, the world over. How do I transfer music downloaded to my PC across to my new Sony Ericsson W850i mobile?
No problem doing this with CDs but – for some reason – it won't allow me to move across music to the handset that I have downloaded to my PC from a specific music site.

I suggest you try saving a copy of this music file to your computer first if you have not. Once you done that, you can send the music files over by either the usb cable provided or you could try to insert the 1GB memory stick as a removable hard disk so that you can transfer data like you are transferring to a thumbdrive. As this is what i usually do for my W810 as well. And if it still does not solve your problem, you could use bluetooth to transfer the songs… although it going to take a much longer time. Or you could specify what error does it say when you try transferring? Or is it that you cannot play the songs through the phone? Hope this help =) and if you need to ask more you can ask me as i have been using Sony Ericsson's phone for quite some time.
