Sony Ericsson Walkman wont work with any computer?

I have hooked up my sony walkman to 5 different laptops and it hasnt worked with any of them. Nothing pops up, nothing works! Why not?!?! What do i need to do to get it to work? I had the EXACT same type of phone and it worked with my computer…then i lost it and bought the same type and now it doesnt work.

ok… so wen u hook it up, what does it say on ur phone? if u get an option 2 chose in ur phone between sync or data transfer or sumthing like that choose data..

or..

u hav 2 go 2 sonyericsons webpage and go 2 support and find ur phone and go 2 downloads or softwares… and download something caled file manager.. that thing will recognise ur phone..

    Maybe you need to install some sort of software to get it to recognize the drivers or something.
