the sony hd cam was …
the sony hd cam was avchd format which is like bluray format so the hd may look nicer but buying an hd cam means alot of money cause that would mean a new pc with a bluray recorder some blank bluray discs a new tv with hd and well more money. This cam is real good though i recorder christmas with the family and it was great. Now i can fit that on a dvd!plus tons more!the movie itself was 21:22 min and it was 1.39gbs so cool. Theres HQ LP and sp mode to record i used HQ of course!!!!

  24. Edsan91 says:

    I Have this exact …
I Have this exact camara i was going for an hd camcorder which was like $800 but then i tought if its HD content it will not fit on a dvd since HD takes up alot of space like 20gbs just for 2 hours so i went with this standard quality cam.And its good the movies will fit on like 4.7gb dvds on an hd id say about 10 mins will fit on a 4gb dvd that isnt enough for me with this cam i can record up to 2 hours and all that will fit on the dvd overall great cam and mpeg2 is dvd format i bieleve
