But all in all this function is not used often.
I agree. Who needs gps in a CAMERA? It just makes this cam more expensive. I would spend the money in this cam if it would have more features than the sr11. But since the quality and the settings are the same, I gonna get the sr11. I like it if the camera is a little bigger ^^

I would recommend to choose the Sony HDR-XR500 Handycam and to invest the difference to acquire the $200 AVCHD VRD-MC5 burner which gives you 25 minutes of HD on a DVD, with the highest quality setting HD-FH.
The HDR-XR520 Handycam constitutes an excellent investment with an absolutely remarkable high-definition picture.
