I bought two of these units, both have the exact same problem. They will all-too-often freeze during play of a movie (Commercial DVDs, not homemade). When the unit freezes, it is a pain to get the unit to resume play and you must skip the point in the movie where it freezes. Sony customer service said they have no clue why it does this and that Sony does not have a fix. Other than the fact that the unit fails to perform its primary task properly, this would be a great unit. Read other reviews. You will find this condition has been reported by others as well. The problem is systemic. Buy this unit and see for yourself.
Pro : Packed with featues
Con : Has a major problem.
