"Awesome!" 2010-05-21
JL Winkfein (Dallas, Texas)
Bought these LED TVs at older 50 "Toshiba rear projection replace. I thought the Toshiba had a good picture. Absolutely no comparison. This light is totally phenomenal. Great image and great features. I 've heard some reviewers complain about glare, but I have in my living room, which has several windows. I see no glare from any angle. And television has a wider Angle than my older rear projection TV.
I am totally satisfied at this point and the only complaint that I can do that you have Wi-Fi Dongle to purchase separately. With what this thing costs, it should include Samsung are in the package. I have my purchase from Amazon here as soon as I get it I can start streaming Netflix videos.
100% recommend this TV for anyone looking for an upgrade.
"If one of CRT in this … WOW!" 2010-05-16
Gregory Hendricks (San Antonio, TX)
I can not think much about which to criticize with this television. The image quality is fantastic. Use amazed HD cable, Blu-ray or DVD and you will be, especially when you move from CRT to LCD as I was.
The TV speakers can be passible, you're probably going to use a home theater system when you're in the market for TV-like. I use it with a Yamaha RX-V467 receiver, Polk Audio SurroundBar, Polk Audio PSW10 Sub, Sony BDP-360 Blu-Ray, HD Pace Cable Box (Time Warner), and a Nintendo Wii. All flights and great together.
Consumer Reports gave similar Low marks for TV viewing angle, but I think it's fine (at least in my house) do not know anyone having a flat screen television with a 10-degree angle want to see anyway. Make sure you turn the Motion Plus and depth-of-black-on options to mitigate any questions, or you will find that some anomalies.
The remote is very easy to use, no problems at all. Only controls the TV (and perhaps other HDMI-CEC components attached). Do not see it as a universal remote control … I bought the Logitech Harmony 300 remote control that works great with all my components.
The Internet, and streaming functions now work mostly as from Samsung advertised, including Netflix. Netflix does not work at first (it's a new TV in 2010), but softened the latest firmware update May 2010, that annoying problem. I Samsung use the WiFi adapter to connect to our home network (Apple Airport Extreme) connected. No problems HD movies on Netflix.
Negatives:
If you lose the TV plug for some reason or power, you lose most of your settings and have most of them reinstated. This includes the Reactivation of the movement control and depth-of-black settings (very important for LCD TV).
Samsung needs a wireless adapter for wireless Internet access ($ 79). Works great, but it also takes one of your two USB ports! Still not my account on YouTube Favorites … keeps throwing an error message. All other Internet applications " I work well, but tries such as Netflix (after firmware update May 2010). Do not feed your Internet connection with other components via HDMI (that HDMI 1.3 's). Too bad. You need a separate connection for Blu-Ray (for BD-Live and other updates) or other Internet-enabled components.
Not know whether this Device supports audio return channel via HDMI, I have not tried it. For audio applications from the Internet, I went back just a TOSLINK connection to my Yamaha receiver. Perfect! You could also just use the audio from the TV (again .. passible, the spring for the Toslink cable).
HDMI for Blu-Ray works great! HDMI for the Pace cable box … not so much (constant "flashing" for about 20-30 seconds when changing channels), but this may be the fault be of the receiver or cable box.
"Best I've ever owned, image really grabs you," 05/07/2010
By John OC (Lake Forest, CA)
we already had four HDTVs, when I run this on 5/2/10- Sony 46 "Sharp Aquos bought 65" Samsung Touch of Color 52 " Panasonic plasma 58 ". All but the Sony is less than 2 years old and all look good. But the Samsung Touch of Color really stood out. The picture was always a real step before the others. So we went to Best Buy, which look at the latest Samaung, and ended up buying it.
I have never seen a picture of what it saw. It looks like 3-dimensional-one can really place people and landscapes in the room. It's almost scary. Another reviewer complained of flashes, but I see no proof. Plus the thing is energy-efficient 190W-max-less as a backlight is down (which is any quieter I would expect it is very bright). It is better than non-reflective light Plasmas ensure another plus and looks great when the room is brightly lit. It is quiet when in any "buzz" – and it's relatively cool.
I (Unfortunately) sent back large TVs in the past with a 65 "(the Amazon was great about). I could not be happier with this unique so far at least.
* Edited 5/8/10- Netflix streaming or streaming blockbuster first but worked for a firmware release in early May this corrected. Apps work and Vudu works great and streams in 1080p/24 with Dolby Digital sound anyway so it's a better source for great looking website. Currently, Netflix still only sends Stereo (Dolby Prologic II) audio …
"Black scenes terrible" 4/21/2010

Prior to the success this purchase I read different reviews about the Samsung LED TVs quality of light in dark scenes. I thought these people were given too picky were apparently just as many people are completely happy. In addition, I saw similar models in stores, and they looked great. I ordered this set from Amazon for the best hope, but unfortunately, the lighting on dark scenes is extremely bad.
There are clouds of different brightness in dark areas of a scene (some call it flash or lighting Headlights). These are most noticeable in the corners especially at an angle. It is extremely annoying when watching dark movies or mailbox content. It was not noticeable, especially when brightly lit TV content or the demo content in the stores I went. SN01 This is a panel with the latest firmware.
My older model CCFL LCD TV from Samsung not have this kind of problem. I'm really excited by this acquisition and can not believe, Samsung finds this acceptable quality.
noted on the positive side, came the TV in excellent condition from Amazon support.
"Awesome TV worth every penny" 04/16/2010
J. Ramamoorthy (Seattle, WA USA)
I own this TV. Just a word – its amazing. The picture quality is divine it almost looks like this 3d. Everything is like life. I compared this TV in the store with others and found it much better than that of Sony, LG and Panasonic. Did I mention it is thin, which is the second wow factor. The remote is easy to use, but I do with my Logitech Harmony remote.
All games on the Xbox 360 to life, screen size and clarity really immerse yourself in the game. Can not comment about the speakers because I do not use them, I have an external 5.1 speakers. It has 4 HDMI ports, more than enough to cover all Connect their inputs. It also has a VGA and component inputs. You can also connect to the Internet, this means, Youtube, Netflix and other applications.
I a comparison in the store between 120Hz and 240Hz, and have not distinguish the difference.
So far no disadvantages.

My sony bravia tv sucks. Netflix crashes often with content errors and DRM 14 errors. The sounds on this tv is terrible and inconsistent. steady sound does not work. I should have just gotton and apple tv and then another brand flat screen.
