an e4600 to be exact
i got it to 3.0 so far but it doesnt seem to be stable in prime 95
i pumped up the volts a little but it doesnt seem to be helping :/

so…? they run on different architecture so that means core clock doest not influence the power of the cpu so much…

I dont know man but …
I dont know man but in my case it got infected so many times causing my HD to memory loss and i have norton!!! I hate this laptop, it doesn’t function right, the only thing that i love abt it is HDMI !

Anything but Norton …
Anything but Norton cause each year Norton sucks worse and worse. Antivir is not what it use to be, but I will agree with Avast, or even throw in ClamAV, even though it does not have an active scanner, I have found it does catch a lot more then some of the bloatware anti-viruses

Actually it was the AMD Phenom II that broke the 6.9ghz barrier not too long ago. It’s also rumored that AMD is coming out with some chips not overclocked at 6ghz stock speeds later this year or next year.

It’s cause unlike AMD and VIA, Intel tries to rip off it’s customers with ty over priced parts. That includes selling to OEMS using bulling tactics to try and not get them to use AMD or VIA. if you don’t believe it google AMD sues INTEL in Japan, or INTEL anticompetitive practices

I don’t have to listen to salesmen, I took 3 years of computer networking tech, and have my A+. Also a lot of AMD motherboards do it on the bios, and there is not that much of a difference in architecture, cause there X86 chips.

yeah new amd proccesors can get much more GHz than intel i7 but that does not meant that it is more powerfull 
its all about the architecture 
intel pwns amd in power 
ask for any better computer salesman 
who cares about tools overclocking is in happening in BIOS not on crappy software
and stands with a different architecture so frequences differ so its looks like it can overclock further

Ok if AMD sucks so …
Also AMD allows for better upgrading, is cheaper to build/buy, and allows for easier overclocking on air then INTEL. AMD even gives you hardcore tools to overclock there chips unlike INTEL. until you can come up with a good comment, and prove me wrong i will stick with AMD and even VIA 
Ok if AMD sucks so bad, then why did they come out with the first true 64bit X86 chips and the first true quad core chips. Intel can’t say that, they had to license the 64bit tech from AMD.
