Just a quick tutorial to help you make nicer DVD menus.
I mention NTSC (USA) in the rendering process, but of course choose PAL if this pertains to your country.

First, I would just …
First, I would just double-check after your render from Vegas that it’s widescreen, and you’ve got that part solved. Just play it in Windows Media Player. Then start a New project in Architect ( File>New ) and change it to NTSC Widescreen, put your menu together, burn it & see if that works. This has worked for me every time.

Hi washashore, how …
Hi washashore, how do you maintain your ratio? I render my final edit as dvd widescreen. When I burn it using dvd architect it changes it and shrinks the display. Thanks!

It depends on what …
It depends on what country you live in, for your need of either NTSC or PAL. When you buy a professionally made DVD, is it NTSC or PAL? They are basically two different formats that record at a different number of frames per second.

Let me see if I …
Let me see if I follow you. You can go to Insert >Graphic and then make your button Text Only. You now have Active Text and an Inactive Picture.
You can also lower the Alpha Color in Color Sets so you don’t see the color at all, if you leave your button as Text & Image – just change your button to an Image.

You may be making a …
You may be making a 4:3 menu for a 16:9 widescreen TV which would stretch things out of aspect ratio, or the text may be out of the Title Safe Zone (outside of the menu grid & too close to the edge), or maybe your TV’s Horizontal & Vertical edges are stretched outside the viewing area of your TV’s screen. It could be a couple of different things.
