The Webbie HD camera lets you record your favorite moments in High Definition MP4 (H.264) format and features a 5MP CMOS sensor that lets you take crisp 5MP still images. The Webbie HD camera has MP4, which is a popular multimedia format that compresses the size of your audio and video, making your media files small enough to easily transfer to your compatible PC or Mac. MP4 is also highly compatible with the Web, so you can effortlessly upload your media to popular photo or video-sharing websites like Photobucket or YouTube. (Compatible PC with internet capability required).

Does the AV jack have an audio in so that I can bypass the cheap microphone that comes with the device (and add live stereo audio from a pair of external mics)?

im a sony fanboi so i’ll be getting the webbie.
it also shoots 1080p which is higher than the others right now.
also i like the camcorder form factor instead of the vertical ones which sony is also making but i like the one in this review.

Real quick, can …
Real quick, can anyone show me any movies that they’re sure are shot with this camera, a PM would be fine. And my real question is “how’s the audio”? I don’t have a camera, but I’m looking to make the Webbie HD my first, and I was just wondering if anyone who would know has a problem with the audio being mono instead of stereo, which I ume is inherently better (I’m not clueless about sound). Basically, would this cut it for making vids of me playing guitar? Help much appreciated. Great video.

Its ok. I got one …
Its ok. I got one when I was out in New Jersey. And it shoots in pretty decent quality (on the upload). Its a bit tempermental though. When I was down at the beach, it started ing up after like twenty minutes ( I think it was the sea spray…)
I don’t really trust because it feels fragile (and the battery has a short life). I would rather have a mini dv handy cam(which I also have) for the price but one day I might go ahead and spring for the big boy cam like the ones the shoot docus with

It’s to ing bad no one will be able to enjoy the videos you post because a 12-18 Mbps connection is apparently not fast enough judging by the fact youtube buffers every 3 seconds including for this video. Yousuck youtube! Learn to buy a faster connection or servers!
