   No. The sprites that were reused were from actors who were not fired pre-MK3, while the sprites that weren’t reused were from actors that were in fact fired pre-MK3. From what I know, Midway ed up on the MK1 and 2 contracts, because it stated that they would have to pay the actors royalties if they brought their sprites into a new game. Case in point: the lawsuit between the actress who played Sonya in MK1 and Midway because they used her sprites in an MK2 stage without paying her royalties.

   Because Midway probably knew they ed up with the original MK3, so they made up any excuse to look like they were strict and in control of what they were doing. They left out Rayden in MK3 because his sprite actor’s brother got fired?!, yet they begged him to come back for MKT because they couldnt find a replacement. Bullshit and laziness.

   And they wouldve had to credit the old actors, which includes Daniel Pesina.. who Midway despised at the time, but thats still laziness.

    does anyone think they should of had the mk2 sub-zero as the unmasked sub-zero’s alternate costume

    they had the original sub-zero in it thats the sub-zero from mortal kombat 1 but they didn’t have the younger brothers alternate costume which would have been sweet and easy to put in.

    Mercy is needed for Animalities…thats on MK3, UMK3 and MKT. AGGRESSOR was just like “rage” mode on MK vs DCU you do more damage in that mode and take less. Brutalities were done with a very long style combo after finish him…sorta like Killer instinct.
