Does a VGA camera phone take pictures good enough to be a Myspace/Facebook profile picture?
I’m looking to buy a phone, and the one i’m thinking about buying has a "VGA camera" the only thing I really need the camera for is to take profile pictures, and other pictures to place on my blog, is this camera good enough to do that? Does anybody have a link to a picture taken by a VGA camera?

VGA is 640X480 resolution. This is actually more than you need for Myspace and Facebook.

Basically every standard flickr image is in VGA resolution, and this is – resolution-wise – more than enough for facebook.
The problem with "VGA" cameras in cell phones is their missing autofocus.
These standard lenses are focused for infinity – and the nearer the subject to the phone, the more blurry it’ll become. You surely don’t want to end up with sharp background but fuzzy face features…
Thus, if you want to have some sharp portrait images, aim for a camera with autofocus (independent from their resolution).
