   I think it automatically upscales…but somewhere in the menu system it lets you decide the output, 1080, 720, 480, etc. I watch movies on this player all the time, they look incredible on my Samsung HD TV!!!!

   i just bought mine hours ago it’s the sony DVP-NS728HP that also upscales to 1080p,it works awesomely.. i’m planning to change it’s hdmi in the package the silver one into a gold magnetic one cuz it’s supposed to do awesomer.. about the upscaling feuture though is it automatic or u still have to turn it on/off manual??
